Ushuaia Mayor meets with deputies to discuss sovereignty

Ushuaia Mayor Walter Vuoto met with more than 30 national deputies from various provinces to discuss strategic issues regarding national sovereignty, the Malvinas Islands, and the resources of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica, and the South Atlantic Islands.

During the meetings in Buenos Aires, Vuoto presented reports covering the Integrated Naval Base, industrial promotion, infrastructure, employment, connectivity, and military presence in the far south. Local officials emphasized the importance of bringing a regional perspective to national discussions, noting that sovereignty and resource management are often analyzed differently from the capital.
