Ushuaia Merchant Marine School opens 2026 course enrollment

The Merchant Marine Training and Qualification School in Ushuaia has opened enrollment for its 2026 academic cycle. The program aims to bring new professionals into the maritime sector through various specialties, including Sailor, Engine Assistant, Cook, Waiter, Nurse, and Doctor.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old by December 31, 2024, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Specific roles require additional documentation: cooks and waiters must provide proof of at least one year of experience, while medical and nursing applicants must present professional licenses.

The selection process consists of virtual intellectual exams covering subjects such as Mathematics, English, Physics, Geography, and Civic Education, followed by practical swimming and rowing tests. The deadline to submit all required documentation is November 14.
