Ushuaia records historic passenger numbers in August 2026

Ushuaia recorded a record number of passengers during August 2026, reaching a total of 52,105 arrivals via domestic and international flights. This figure marks the highest August registration in the historical series analyzed from 2017 to 2026.

Of the total arrivals, 46,766 passengers arrived on domestic flights, while 5,339 arrived via international flights, accounting for 10% of the monthly movement. International operations included 31 flights from São Paulo, Brazil, and one flight from Punta Arenas, Chile. The airline market was led by LATAM Brasil with 61% of flights, followed by GOL with 37% and Aerolíneas Argentinas with 2%. Average seat occupancy reached approximately 81%.

Dante Querciali, president of the Instituto Fueguino de Turismo (INFUETUR), stated that the continuity of international connectivity reinforces the presence of the ‘End of the World’ in international markets, strengthening the arrival of tourists during the winter season.
