Ushuaia to host energy summit on mature hydrocarbon basins

Ushuaia will host the meeting ‘Repensar las Cuencas Maduras: una agenda federal para el desarrollo de los hidrocarburos convencionales’ on November 26 and 27. Organized by Terra Ignis Energía S.A. with support from the Tierra del Fuego government, the event aims to bring together public and private sector representatives to discuss the future of the country's mature hydrocarbon basins.

Key topics for debate include tax policy, reserves, investment attraction, royalty schemes, and job creation. Participants will also analyze instruments to reactivate conventional production and improve the competitiveness of mature fields. The agenda includes panels on provincial energy futures, offshore development opportunities in the Austral Basin, environmentally responsible production, and the role of provincial energy companies in promoting local development.
