Ushuaia youth submit 19 projects for climate action fund

Nineteen projects have been submitted for the Youth Climate Action Fund in Ushuaia, Argentina. Developed by individuals aged 15 to 24, these proposals aim to address local environmental issues through concrete climate action initiatives.

The projects were created following a series of workshops and community participation spaces involving various organizations and educational institutions. The call for proposals, titled ‘Súmate a la Acción Climática en Ushuaia’, concluded on October 2.

These initiatives are currently undergoing an evaluation phase to determine which will receive funding from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund. Ushuaia was one of 300 cities selected globally to participate in this program, which seeks to empower youth to lead climate solutions within their communities.
