Usina del Arte hosts K-Pop weekend in Buenos Aires

The Usina del Arte cultural centre in Buenos Aires will host a two‑day K‑Pop weekend on 8–9 August. The programme includes live performances, themed stands, and a competition that brings together 40 groups and soloists from Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba and San Juan. Participants will present dance and vocal numbers before a specialised jury that includes Yami Arias, Ornella Saitta and renowned Korean choreographer Back Kooyoung, who also leads a workshop for attendees aged 15 and up.

The event, part of the 17th edition of the Argentine K‑Pop contest, is presented by influencers Luquiño and Arin Kim. Additional workshops let visitors create personalised Korean‑alphabet shirts and build a model hanok, offering a broader immersion in Korean culture beyond music and dance.
