Trump Considers Massive Military Attack on Iran Amid Escalating Conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump told Axios he is close to deciding on a "massive" military operation against Iran, describing it as "bigger than ever before" and saying Iran has not yet "received enough pain." He indicated that the United States is prepared to launch the attack, while also noting that Israel would join if asked.

U.S. Central Command reported a thirteenth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iranian military targets, including command centers, drone depots, surveillance sites and coastal installations in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding areas. The strikes aim to degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping.

Iranian officials warned that any country assisting the United States would be held responsible and vowed to retaliate, citing recent attacks on U.S. bases in Jordan and Bahrain. The escalation has pushed Brent crude toward $96 a barrel and increased gasoline prices in the United States.
