USM FC de Moundou reinstated for Linafoot national playoffs

USM FC de Moundou has been officially reinstated by the Ligue nationale de football (Linafoot) to participate in the national playoffs for promotion to the first division. The club will join Bafana Bafana de Wadi Fira in the competition.

Originally scheduled for October 8, the tournament has been postponed to October 28. This delay provides a strategic window for the Moundou-based club to improve its physical and mental readiness. Coach Gondjé Séverin has intensified training, implementing two daily sessions to address the players' fitness levels, which were reportedly at 50% during recent gatherings.

Despite the extra preparation time, the team faces significant financial and logistical hurdles, including the inability to provide full team housing or barracks. However, the coaching staff reports that player morale remains high as they prepare for the competition in N’Djamena.
