USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation to host annual Tennis Creates Gala

The USTA Mid-Atlantic Foundation will host its annual Tennis Creates Gala on November 14 at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner. The event aims to raise funds to increase tennis accessibility across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and parts of West Virginia.

Proceeds support community initiatives such as the Girls Rule the Court program, Junior Player Scholarships, and Tennis in Schools. The foundation also utilizes funds to restore public tennis courts, having invested $505,000 into 17 facilities over the past three years.

Emmy Award-winning ESPN journalist Malika Andrews will emcee the event. Attendees will include USTA CEO Craig Tiley. The gala will present the Tennis Creates Impact Award to retired Vice Admiral Sean S. Buck, and the Adult Leader Award to Leigh Ann Jackson for her coaching contributions at Groveton Elementary.
