Polish municipalities launch participatory budgeting and regional development initiatives

Several Polish municipalities are conducting processes related to participatory budgeting and regional development.

In Płock, voting has commenced for the participatory budget, with 28 proposals competing for a total pool of 7.4 million PLN. Residents can vote online or in person until September 28. Similarly, in Ustka, residents have until September 28 to select from eight projects, including infrastructure improvements and social initiatives, competing for 680,000 PLN.

In Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, the voting deadline for the participatory budget is September 15. Residents are choosing from 39 projects with a total value of nearly 8.5 million PLN. Meanwhile, Zielona Góra is preparing for its 2027 participatory budget cycle, with 10.5 million PLN available for investment and social projects. Residents can submit proposals online until September 29.

Additionally, the TECHNOTALENTY Foundation is organizing the fourth edition of the ‘Bridges of the Future’ competition in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. The contest, which runs until October 15, 2026, aims to promote synergy between science and business by rewarding R&D and implementation projects.
