UTA Arad defeats Sepsi OSK 1–0 in Romanian Superliga
UTA Arad secured a 1–0 victory against Sepsi OSK in the opening match of the tenth round of the Romanian Superliga. The decisive goal was scored by Andrei Dorobanțu in the 91st minute following a free kick.
Following the match, Sepsi OSK head coach Ovidiu Burcă criticized his team’s performance, describing them as “cowardly” and stating they failed to execute their tactical plan. Burcă took personal responsibility for the loss, citing a failure to properly motivate and prepare his players. He noted that the team needs to develop a stronger mentality and avoid complacency.
UTA Arad’s victory comes as the Romanian league prepares for an upcoming international break. The upcoming schedule includes a match for UTA Arad against FC Botoșani on October 10, marking the start of the 11th round of the Superliga. The league will pause for international fixtures, including Nations League matches, before resuming competition in the second weekend of October.
