Utah and North Florida compete in Williams Cup golf tournament

Williams Cup college golf University of Utah University of North Florida Eagle Point Golf Club

The Williams Cup golf tournament concluded at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, North Carolina. The University of Utah team finished in a tie for eighth place with a total score of 16-over 880, bolstered by a strong final round of 3-under 285. Senior Sergio Jimenez led the Utes, finishing at 2-under 214 to tie for seventh individually.

The University of North Florida also competed in the event. Following the second round, freshman Easton Oliva sat at 5-over 149, while senior Danny Erickson moved up the leaderboard to tie for 54th at 7-over 151. The Florida team finished the tournament in first place at 13-under.

Other notable team standings included Auburn in second place and UNLV in third. Utah will enter a hiatus until the spring season begins in February.
