Utah and Wyoming women's tennis teams open fall seasons

The University of Utah women's tennis team opened its fall season with successful performances at the Barb Chandler Classic in Boise, Idaho. Avery Olsen led the singles action with a 3-0 record, securing victories against Tori Jeppson, Ava Sycamore, and Alicia Morales. Emi Dowdell also performed well in singles, finishing 2-1 with wins over Gabriella Harper and Paulina Aleksandrowicz.

In doubles competition, the Utah teams saw significant success. Avery Olsen and Emi Dowdell went undefeated with a 3-0 record, while Nike Lenz and Lily Stohl finished with a 3-1 record.

Meanwhile, the Wyoming Cowgirls began their fall schedule at the Jon Messick Invitational hosted by Colorado State. Newcomer Ivona Ridan secured a straight-sets victory in her debut match against Colorado State’s Zaria McGinty. Other Wyoming players, including Silver Bijlsma and Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia, received first-round byes in their respective brackets.
