Utah gymnastics programs earn top WCGA academic honors

The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced academic honors for the 2025-26 season, highlighting strong performance from Utah-based programs.

Utah State gymnastics achieved the highest team grade point average (GPA) in the nation with a 3.89. The program set a school record with 18 gymnasts posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher, representing 94.74% of the team. Seven athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, receiving Scholastic All-America accolades.

The University of Utah gymnastics team also received recognition, with 15 student-athletes earning WCGA Academic Honors. The Red Rocks recorded a cumulative team GPA of 3.7970, the highest among schools ranked in the Road to Nationals final top 10. Additionally, 93.75% of the team earned an individual GPA of 3.500 or higher, and six athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA.
