Real Madrid wins EuroLeague clash; Mourinho defends Mbappé; Nurkić injured

In EuroLeague basketball, Real Madrid defeated Partizan 86-76 at the Movistar Arena, snapping Partizan's early winning streak. Real Madrid dominated the first half with a 53-37 lead, while Partizan struggled with perimeter shooting, hitting only three three-pointers out of 20 attempts.

In football, Real Madrid manager José Mourinho defended Kylian Mbappé against media scrutiny regarding his recovery from a knee injury. Mourinho dismissed reports questioning Mbappé's professionalism following sightings of him in Paris and on a bicycle in Switzerland, stating that the player has met all club obligations and that the media is creating unnecessary drama.

In the NBA, Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkić is expected to miss at least four weeks due to a partial plantar plate tear in his right second toe. The injury occurred during a preseason game against the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz will look to Jaxson Hayes and Mohamed Bamba to fill the void in their frontcourt rotation as the regular season approaches.
