Utah Jazz Suffer Defeats to Mavericks and Clippers

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Utah Jazz 144-122 in a regular‑season game, overwhelming Utah with a fast tempo, strong perimeter shooting and limited defensive resistance. Klay Thompson's three‑point shooting pushed him into fourth place on the NBA's all‑time list, underscoring Dallas' long‑range threat.

In the NBA Summer League, the Jazz fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 104-82 in Las Vegas. Utah led early but was blown out in the third quarter, as the Clippers out‑rebounded them 49‑43 and scored 42 points in that period. Rookie Darryn Peterson topped the Jazz with 20 points, five assists and two steals, yet the team could not recover from the Clippers' surge.
