Utah Jazz undergo major roster reconstruction
The Utah Jazz are undergoing a significant roster reconstruction following a 22-60 season. The team utilized the second overall pick in the draft to select guard Darryn Peterson from Kansas.
In addition to the draft, the Jazz have made several major moves to reshape their lineup. They acquired two-time All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. from the Memphis Grizzlies and signed Jusuf Nurkic to a two-year deal to bolster the frontcourt alongside Jaxson Hayes. The team also traded Walker Kessler to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for two unprotected first-round picks and two additional trade options.
Further perimeter adjustments include the acquisition of guard Josh Green from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Cody Williams and John Konchar. To add depth for the upcoming training camp, the Jazz also signed free agent guard Matt Murrell, who previously played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League.
