Utah Mammoth hire former NHLer Trevor Lewis

The Utah Mammoth have hired former NHL forward Trevor Lewis as a video scout and an ambassador for youth and amateur hockey. A Salt Lake City native, Lewis played 17 seasons in the NHL, appearing in over 1,000 games for the Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames, and Winnipeg Jets.

Lewis is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, winning titles with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014. As an ambassador, he will focus on growing the sport within Utah. Chris Armstrong, the Mammoth’s president of hockey operations, described the hire as a “natural fit” to leverage Lewis’s championship experience for the benefit of local fans and developing players.

Lewis’s career includes 237 points, ranking him second all-time among Utah-born NHL players. One of his initial responsibilities included accompanying the Mammoth’s rookie team to San Jose for the Rookie Faceoff.
