Utah Mammoth top prospects to miss Rookie Faceoff games

The Utah Mammoth will participate in the Rookie Faceoff games in San Jose this weekend without several of their recent high-profile draft picks. General Manager Bill Armstrong confirmed that Tij Iginla and Caleb Desnoyers will miss the games due to day-to-day injuries.

Desnoyers is currently managing a leg injury, while Iginla is recovering from previous hip surgeries. Additionally, Ethan Belchetz will not participate to avoid risking his NCAA eligibility. Both Iginla and Desnoyers are expected to be available during the main training camp and are anticipated to make their professional debuts this season for either the Mammoth or their AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners.

In recent season reviews, the Mammoth finished their 2025-26 campaign with a 43-33-6 record, securing the first wild card spot in the Western Conference before being eliminated by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round.
