Utah State and BYU Launch 2026 Fall Football Camps

Utah State University’s football program began its 2026 fall camp on Aug. 5 under second‑year head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Practices are closed to the public, with a media session after each session. A fan‑focused Family Fun Day is scheduled for Aug. 22, featuring a youth clinic, inflatables, food trucks and autograph sessions. The Aggies return nine starters and 22 letter‑winners from a 6‑7 season, plus 68 newcomers, including 34 four‑year transfers.

Brigham Young University’s Cougars also started fall camp this week, marking the first camp with Kelly Poppinga as defensive coordinator. The defensive ends group is highlighted by returning players Nusi Taumoepeau, Hunter Clegg and veteran Bodie Schoonover, alongside several high‑upside freshmen and transfers. Coaches expect Schoonover to anchor the line while Taumoepeau aims to lead the pass‑rush effort. Depth‑chart decisions will be finalized during the camp.
