Utah Valley University launches concurrent enrollment scholarship

Utah Valley University (UVU) has introduced the Freshman Concurrent Enrollment Merit Scholarship to reward high school students who completed college courses through the university’s concurrent enrollment program.

The scholarship features two award tiers, providing between $3,500 and $5,000 annually based on the number of UVU credits earned during high school. These awards are renewable for up to four years, allowing qualifying students to receive a total of up to $20,000 toward their degree.

Spencer Childs, UVU’s Senior Director of Concurrent Enrollment, stated that the initiative is designed to recognize students who arrive on campus academically prepared and disciplined. The program aims to encourage high schoolers to pursue college coursework earlier by providing a tangible financial incentive.
