Utah Valley University (UVU) has reportedly withdrawn from a joint memorial event planned with Turning Point USA to mark the one-year anniversary of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination. The assassination occurred on the university campus on September 10, 2025.

According to reports from The Cougar Chronicle, UVU is instead planning to close operations on September 10, 2026, to allow the campus community
