UTE defeats GYHK 4-1 in Erste Liga season opener

UTE opened their Erste Liga season with a 4-1 victory against the defending champions, GYHK. Despite an active start from the visiting team and several key saves by goalkeeper Miklós Rajna, UTE took the lead in the 17th minute through a shot by Maxim Szabó Rácz.

After GYHK equalized in the 27th minute, UTE regained control. Simon Szathmáry scored his first goal for the team via a penalty kick, followed by a goal from Slovakian player Filip Vasko. Karol Csányi added a final goal into an empty net to secure the win. The match was played before a crowd of nearly 1,000 supporters.
