UTE inaugurates new electric vehicle charging station in Malvín
UTE has inaugurated a new electric vehicle charging station in the Malvín neighborhood of Montevideo. The facility, located at Valencia 1795, features eight rapid charging points equipped with CCS2 connectors and a power capacity of 60 kW per point.
The station operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Recent data shows 5,244 charging sessions were recorded at this location over the last month, with peak demand occurring between 11:00 and 21:00.
This expansion is part of a broader national strategy to enhance sustainable mobility in Uruguay. The current network includes 531 active charging points across 19 departments and 180 localities. UTE aims to reach 1,000 charging points nationwide by 2027.
