UTHGRA Mar del Plata assumes direct management of Osuthgra

The leadership of UTHGRA Mar del Plata has taken direct administration of Osuthgra, the health insurance provider for hotel and gastronomy workers, after terminating a contract with a management company. General Secretary Pablo Santín stated that the move aims to organize available resources and strengthen services for members and their families.

The transition occurs amid a complex situation for the healthcare system and social works. Challenges cited include low contribution levels, national government budget cuts, employer non-compliance, and the impact of legal injunctions. Despite these pressures, the union maintains that Osuthgra services are normalized, guaranteeing coverage for adult and pediatric emergency care, spontaneous demand, medical specialties, and high-complexity treatments.
