Utility companies announce power outages in Argentina and Peru

Various utility companies in Argentina and Peru have announced power outages due to maintenance and emergency repairs.

In Argentina, Edersa scheduled emergency power cuts for Monday, August 24, across nine localities in the Línea Sur region, including Comallo, Clemente Onelli, and Ingeniero Jacobacci. These works aim to repair a 33 kV medium tension network fault. Additionally, EPEC announced scheduled maintenance in Villa María, affecting the Mariano Moreno, Las Acacias, and Vista Verde neighborhoods on Sunday, August 22.

In Peru, the Sociedad Eléctrica del Sur Oeste (SEAL) announced temporary service suspensions from August 25 to August 27 in the Arequipa region. Affected areas include districts in the provinces of Arequipa, Caravelí, Castilla, and Islay. The interruptions are intended for network maintenance, including transformer replacements and substation cleaning.
