Utility companies Edison International and Entergy see price target reductions
Financial analysts have adjusted price targets for major utility providers. Truist Securities reduced its price target for Edison International from $63 to $62, maintaining a “Hold” rating. The adjustment is attributed to uncertainty regarding California’s wildfire policies and legislative stalemate, specifically concerning liability reform. Analysts suggest that regulatory clarity may not emerge until after the upcoming elections and the swearing-in of the new state legislature in December.
Separately, JPMorgan Chase & Co. lowered its price objective for Entergy from $137 to $130, though it maintains an “overweight” rating. Other financial institutions have also issued varied assessments for Entergy, including target adjustments from Morgan Stanley and KeyCorp, reflecting a range of outlooks across the sector.
