Utility maintenance affects water and sewage services in Piura and Arequipa
Utility providers in Peru are conducting maintenance works affecting sanitation and water supply in the regions of Piura and Arequipa.
In Piura, EPS Grau reported that during July, technical teams cleaned 1,512 linear meters of sewage networks across the districts of Piura, Castilla, and Veintiséis de Octubre. The operations involved clearing main lines and domestic connections to normalize wastewater evacuation and address blockages in various residential areas and settlements.
In Arequipa, Sedapar announced scheduled water service interruptions on August 18 due to cleaning and disinfection work on reservoirs and cisterns. The restrictions specifically affect parts of the Sabandía locality, with service suspended from 07:30 to 19:00. Residents in the affected sectors have been advised to store sufficient water to meet basic needs during the maintenance period.
