Utility maintenance scheduled in Costa Rica and Colombia
Utility companies in Costa Rica and Colombia have announced scheduled maintenance activities affecting infrastructure and services.
In Costa Rica, the Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz (CNFL) has rescheduled the installation of 90 Independence Day commemorative figures on the General Cañas highway. Originally set for August 17, the work will now begin on August 24. To prevent traffic congestion, the CNFL and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) moved the work hours to the night shift, from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The project will also include preventive maintenance on wiring, photocells, and control panels.
In Colombia, Enel Colombia has scheduled power outages for Tuesday, August 18, due to network adjustments and maintenance. The outages will affect several sectors in Bogotá, including Chapinero, Ciudad Bolívar, Engativá, San Cristóbal, Teusaquillo, and Usaquén. Additionally, service interruptions are planned for the municipalities of Chía and Zipaquirá in the Cundinamarca department.
