UTMB 2026: Historic finishes at World Series Finals

The 2026 Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) World Series Finals in Chamonix, France, concluded with several historic performances despite weather delays and course reroutes.

In the flagship UTMB race, Ben Dhiman achieved the first sub-19-hour men’s finish in the event's history with a time of 18:16:29. On the women’s side, Blandine L’Hirondel became the first woman to break the 22-hour barrier, finishing in 21:54:49. L’Hirondel is also the third person to win all three UTMB World Series Finals races: the OCC, CCC, and UTMB.

The week's events included the OCC race, where Lauren Gregory won the women’s division by just three seconds, and Frédéric Tranchand secured the first French OCC win in a decade. In the CCC race, Yngvild Kaspersen made history as the first woman to win the CCC twice.
