Regional running events scheduled across Chile and Argentina

Various regional athletic events are scheduled for mid-September across South America.

In Maipú, Chile, the fifth edition of the Corrida Familiar de Maipú, organized by the Municipality of Maipú and Arauco Maipú, expects 8,500 participants. The event features 5K and 10K races starting from the Templo Votivo. Significant road closures are planned for Sunday, September 13, affecting major avenues such as 5 de Abril and Los Pajaritos.

In Puerto Williams, Chile, the first Cabo de Hornos Family Night Run has over 180 registrants. The event, promoted by the Provincial Presidential Delegation of Chilean Antarctica and the National Institute of Sports, aims to encourage healthy lifestyles through 2.5km and 5km routes.

In Villa María, Argentina, the sixth edition of the UTN Corre marathon is set for Sunday, September 13. Organized by the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and the local municipality, the race includes competitive distances of 5km, 10km, and 15km, as well as recreational and kids' categories. Cash prizes have been announced for top finishers in the competitive brackets.
