UTN launches first nuclear engineering degree in Córdoba
The National Technological University (UTN) and the Argentine government have launched the first nuclear engineering degree in the province of Córdoba. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Human Capital, the Secretariat of Nuclear Affairs, and the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA).
This new academic offering is part of the Nuclear Training Ecosystem, which includes a five-year Nuclear Engineering degree, a four-year Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Facility Management, and a three-year University Technician degree in Radiochemistry. The program aims to expand specialized professional training to meet the strategic needs of Argentina's nuclear sector, energy, and technology industries.
The launch is part of the Program for the Strengthening of Engineering and Strategic Careers in National Universities, focusing on STEM fields linked to productive sectors such as mining and industry.
