UTN rector criticizes national government over insufficient university funding

Rubén Soro, the rector of the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN), has criticized the national government for the underfunding of public universities. During the presentation of a new Industrial Engineering program at the Villa María Regional Faculty, Soro warned that the current budget is insufficient to meet operational and institutional demands, stating that it “does not suffice.”

Despite the financial constraints, Soro noted that the university continues to receive support from local and regional sectors, including municipal and provincial governments, which view higher education as a vital component of regional development.
