UTN students involved in vehicle accident on Route 33
A van carrying eight students from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN) – Facultad Regional Trenque Lauquen was involved in a traffic accident on National Route 33. The vehicle was traveling from Trenque Lauquen to Sierra de la Ventana for a student welfare recreational trip when the incident occurred on Friday after 8:00 PM. The accident also involved a Nissan pickup truck.
Following the crash, emergency services, including the Pigüé Volunteer Firefighters and medical personnel, responded to the scene. Students were initially transported to the Pigüé Municipal Hospital.
As of the latest update, three students—Iván Junco, Stefano Guichart, and Axel Bordone—have been discharged and returned home. Three others, Melany Corti, Ángel Piana, and María Clara Montes, are receiving treatment at the Trenque Lauquen Municipal Hospital. Two students, Gonzalo Pereda Tavoloni and Sandra Florencia Trisiani, remain in intensive care in Trenque Lauquen.
