UTN students maintain indefinite strike demanding rector's resignation

Students at the Universidad Tecnológica de Nezahualcóyotl (UTN) have extended an indefinite strike, demanding the resignation of rector Agustín Jehú Covarrubias. Despite the administration signing 22 agreements to address various grievances, the Student Council maintains that the protest will continue until the rector steps down.

The signed agreements include a commitment to a comprehensive audit of university management by the State of Mexico's Secretariat of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation. Additionally, the administration has pledged to implement a transparency mechanism for institutional spending, establish a formal Student Committee, and prioritize repairs to water supplies, sanitation, and classroom lighting.
