UTP and Ericsson partner to develop Panamanian talent in AI and 5G

The Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP) and Ericsson have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen digital skills and promote research in emerging technologies. The partnership focuses on training students and faculty in critical areas such as artificial intelligence, 5G, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

This initiative aims to prepare Panamanian professionals for the digital economy and aligns with the government's National Advanced Technologies Agenda. The collaboration seeks to transform Panama from a consumer of technology into a nation capable of local innovation and development in strategic telecommunications sectors.
