Utrera kicks off Feria de Consolación 2026 with new lighting

The Feria de Consolación 2026 has officially commenced in Utrera with the traditional lighting ceremony and the 'Cena del Pescaíto'. The event saw high attendance despite elevated temperatures, with thousands of residents and visitors gathering at the fairgrounds.

This year features a renewed festive lighting design by the company Morales, characterized by vibrant primary colors. Local authorities, including Mayor Francisco Jiménez, highlighted improvements to the Municipal Booth, which now includes a new technical safety floor and updated textile and lantern decorations.

In preparation for the festivities, municipal works were carried out to improve the sanitation network, specifically addressing historical drainage issues in the Bulería street area. Isabel González Blanquero, Delegate for Economic Reactivation, noted the significant organizational scale and economic impact the fair has on the municipality.
