UTRGV athletics report volleyball sweep, swimming records, and golf tournament preparations

Several University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) athletic teams have achieved recent milestones. The women's golf team is preparing for the Diamante Intercollegiate at Diamante Country Club in Arkansas, marking their fall finale. The team features Avery Glanzer, who recently earned Southland Conference Women's Golfer of the Week honors after a career-best even-par 213.

In volleyball, the UTRGV Vaqueros maintained an undefeated record in Southland Conference play following a 3-0 sweep of the Lamar Cardinals. The victory extended their winning streak to nine matches.

In swimming and diving, the UTRGV team set three program records during a meet against New Mexico. Junior Manou Meulebeek swept the diving events, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions. Other notable performances included Annaleagh Stahl winning the 100-yard individual medley and the team setting a school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
