UTRGV men's soccer defeats USF 5-0

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's soccer team defeated the University of South Florida (USF) Bulls with a 5-0 victory at Corbett Stadium. The match began with a UTRGV goal just 24 seconds into play.

Elias Taj led the Vaqueros, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Other goals were scored by Eduardo De Oliveira, Sammy Jadid, and Mouhamed Pouye. Taj's performance tied him for seventh in the program's single-match points record with six points.

South Florida played much of the match with ten players after Geoffrey Oyaka received a red card in the 30th minute. The Bulls were outshot 15-9 and 8-1 in shots on goal. USF goalkeeper Eric Axtman made three saves during his first career start.
