UTSA defeats Tulane 42-19 to extend undefeated conference run

The UTSA Roadrunners defeated the Tulane Green Wave 42-19 at Yulman Stadium, snapping Tulane’s 10-game home winning streak. UTSA improved to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in American Conference play, while Tulane fell to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

UTSA’s victory was fueled by a dominant rushing attack that produced 223 yards and six touchdowns, alongside a defensive performance that tied school records with six takeaways. Will Henderson III led the ground game with 102 yards and a touchdown, while A’Marion Peterson contributed two rushing scores. The Roadrunners' defense recovered four fumbles and recorded two interceptions.

Despite an early pick-six by Tulane’s Anthony Rogers on the first play from scrimmage, UTSA responded with physical dominance. Tulane struggled with offensive consistency and turnovers, committing six total. While Johnnie Daniels provided a highlight for the Green Wave with an 81-yard touchdown run, the team was unable to overcome the deficit caused by poor execution and deteriorating line play.
