Uttar Pradesh bus‑tractor crash kills driver, injures several

A passenger bus collided with a tractor‑trolley in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, killing the tractor driver and injuring multiple passengers. District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi said about 12 people were taken to the district hospital; five have been discharged, while a female patient remains under serious observation and the others are receiving treatment.

Earlier in the week, a separate accident in Etah district involved a speeding canter truck striking a stationary bus. That crash killed four people and injured eleven, according to District Magistrate Arvind Singh. Injured victims were hospitalized, with one patient in intensive care.

Authorities are investigating both incidents and have pledged assistance to the injured.
