Uttar Pradesh CM inaugurates e‑bus service in Noida region

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch an electric‑bus service covering Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Authority area. The ceremony is set for Friday at the Shilp Haat in Sector‑33A, with around 300 attendees expected and ten electric buses on display.

The first phase will deploy ten buses in each jurisdiction, operating on four primary routes that link residential and commercial hubs to the upcoming Noida International Airport. Fares are fixed between 20 and 50 rupees. Officials have prepared detailed route plans that also connect locations such as Botanical Garden, Sector‑62, Sarai Kale Khan, and ISBT.

Authorities aim to run a total of 100 e‑buses initially—50 in Noida and 25 each in Greater Noida and the Yamuna Authority—after the state cabinet approved an additional 100 vehicles. By the end of 2026, the plan is to have around 200 electric buses on the streets, enhancing public transport and reducing pollution.
