Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath boosts welfare: appoints Anganwadi aides, reports 4.25 L families covered

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to two women for the post of Anganwadi Sahayika during an event in Banda, alongside cheques, keys, certificates and other benefits for beneficiaries of various state welfare schemes.

The state government also announced that its Zero Poverty campaign has now reached 4,25,101 families—about 34 % of the identified poor households—covering all eligible schemes. Coverage rates are 97 % for the Ration Card, 98 % for the Nirashrit Mahila Pension, 95 % for the Shramik Card and 92 % for Ayushman Bharat. The campaign aims to increase the number of covered families by another 30 % as it completes housing and agricultural assistance components. Hathras district recorded the highest overall scheme saturation at 78 %, while districts such as Agra and Prayagraj lag behind.
