Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath celebrates Modi government's 12 years in Varanasi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Varanasi on June 12‑13, 2026, to mark the 12‑year anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. The two‑day program included a public welfare exhibition at the Girija Devi Sanskritik Sankul, distribution of certificates to scheme beneficiaries, and health screening camps offering breast‑cancer checks and eye examinations. He also offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and served as chief guest at the 7th National Vijnana Bharati Convention held at Banaras Hindu University.

In a separate statement, Yogi congratulated Modi on becoming the longest‑serving elected prime minister and highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s development achievements under the central leadership. He cited over 3 crore toilets built under Swachh Bharat, 65 lakh families housed through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, health coverage for nearly 10 crore people via Ayushman Bharat, and the provision of free ration to 15 crore citizens. He also mentioned infrastructure projects such as the 12‑lane Delhi‑Meerut Expressway and the Delhi‑Meerut RRTS corridor.
