Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath condemns SP MP's alleged remarks on PM Modi

A Samajwadi Party (SP) Member of Parliament, Ajendra Singh Lodhi, was reported to have used indecent language when referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public event. The comment quickly spread on social media, prompting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to issue a sharp rebuke.

Posting on X, Yogi described the MP’s remarks as “unparliamentary, indecent and a serious injury to India’s democratic decorum,” adding that such language disrespects the mandate of the nation’s 145 crore (1.45 billion) voters. He labeled the incident as political vulgarity, ideological bankruptcy, and an affront to public life.

BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary also condemned the speech, calling the SP party “full of thugs and abusive language.” The episode has intensified the political feud between the ruling BJP and the opposition SP in Uttar Pradesh.
