Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath holds public audience and performs Guru Purnima rites at Gorakhpur
On 29 July, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gorakhpur for the Guru Purnima festival. He led a traditional puja of Maha Yogi Gorakhnath at the Gorakhnath Temple, chanting Vedic mantras, offering rot prasad and concluding with a collective aarti. The ceremony also honored other Nath tradition gurus such as Brahmeline Mahant Avadyanath, Digvijyanath and Baba Gambhirnath, and he extended Guru Purnima greetings to the public.
Following the rites, the chief minister held a Janata Darshan, meeting roughly 200 people. He listened to individual grievances, instructed officials to address each complaint promptly, and ordered that all prayer letters receive serious action and regular monitoring. He promised that financial assistance for the treatment of seriously ill patients would be provided without delay and urged the swift release of required funds.
