Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launches development projects and mass‑participation drive

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed public grievances during a “Janta Darshan” at the Gorakhpur Temple, fed cows, handed out chocolates to children and announced the inauguration of 71 development projects, including a ₹208 crore flatted‑factory complex and an EWS‑LIG residential complex. Allotment letters for industrial plots, housing units and certificates for NIELIT‑trained youth were also distributed.

In a separate briefing, Adityanath directed officials to ensure broad public involvement in a series of events marking the 12th anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, scheduled from June 5‑21. He called for planting at least five crore saplings under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, geo‑tagging and protecting them, and eliminating single‑use plastic in gram panchayats and urban bodies. The programme will feature welfare camps, health fairs, exhibitions of district achievements and cleanliness drives. He also oversaw preparations for the civil‑police constable recruitment exam, expecting about 2.9 million candidates.
