Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launches development projects and renames Kushinagar locality

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a public “Janta Darshan” at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, addressing citizen grievances, performing a ‘gau seva’, and announcing the inauguration of 278 development projects in Kushinagar worth over ₹424 crore, along with tourism works in Gorakhpur costing ₹20.35 crore. He also honored top‑performing students and distributed land‑ownership certificates and housing scheme assistance.

During the same visit, he announced the renaming of Fazil Nagar in Kushinagar to Pavagarh, declared the eradication of both the mafia and mosquito‑borne encephalitis, and inaugurated a new medical college and the Agriculture and Technology University. The chief minister highlighted that 90,000 poor families have received permanent housing and more than 314,000 toilets have been constructed under government welfare schemes.
