Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath opens new boys and girls hostels at Ayush University
On July 11, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath State Ayush University in Gorakhpur to inaugurate newly built residential hostels for male and female students. The boys' hostel was named after the chief minister’s spiritual mentor, Avadhyanath, while the girls' hostel was christened "RaptI." During the ceremony, the CM handed the keys to the student occupants and inspected the unfinished auditorium on the campus, urging officials to accelerate its completion while maintaining quality standards.
The event underscored the university as a flagship project of the state government, originally launched by President Ram Nath Kovind in August 2021 and slated for further inauguration by President Droupadi Murmu. The chief minister also directed improvements such as window grilles, enhanced cleanliness, and better quality meals for the hostel residents.
