Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath orders Ayushman cards for every needy citizen

On May 6, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gorakhpur and held a public audience at the Gorakhnath Temple. During the event he met about 200 members of the public, listened to their grievances and especially the demands of those seeking financial help for serious medical treatments.

He instructed officials present to ensure that every eligible poor person receives an Ayushman card, emphasizing that lack of funds should never hinder medical care. He assured that discretionary funds would be used to provide immediate assistance once hospital cost estimates are presented. The chief minister also asked authorities to resolve all complaints promptly, fairly and without any laxity. In addition to the administrative directives, he interacted warmly with women and children, offering chocolate and encouraging school attendance.
